  • Spring/Summer (First Wednesday of April to end of September):
    Wednesday 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
    Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Fall/Winter (October to March):
    Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Accepted Materials: Household waste and recyclables
Please sort recyclables and follow posted guidelines.

Our community halls are perfect for events, gatherings, and celebrations. They are run by volunteers; and can be contacted for rental information.

Services: PO Box Number (Within Alexander), mail delivery, parcel pickup, stamps, and more.

Location: North of the Village of Alexander, at the southwest corner of 

Road 124W and Road 57N (NE17-10-21W)

The cemetery is maintained by the municipality. For plot inquiries or general information, please contact the municipal office.

  • Emergency Services: In an emergency, dial 9-1-1 and provide your civic and road number (found on the blue sign at the end of your lane) and municipality/community (e.g., 130131 Road 49N, RM of Whitehead). Make sure all family members know your full address and consider posting it near your phone for quick reference.
  • For non-emergency police services, call 204-726-7500.
  • Police service is provided by the Blue Hills RCMP Detachment, located at 107191A Veterans Way, RM of Cornwallis MB R7A 5Y5 | 204-726-7522.
  • Schools: Alexander School (K-Grade 8) is part of the Brandon School Division, located at 104 Argyle Street, Alexander.
  • Community Events: Stay updated via our website, social media, and local bulletin boards.
  • Utilities: Residents with utility connections are billed quarterly for water services. Rates are approved by the RM of Whitehead Council and the Public Utilities Board of Manitoba. Water is purchased from the Whitehead-Elton Regional Water Co-op and distributed via a pumping station and reservoir east of Alexander. For any questions, feel free to call us at 204-752-2261 during regular hours or for AFTER HOUR EMERGENCIES call 204-729-6116.   
  • Property Taxes: Due each year at the end of October (last business day of the month). Inquire about our TIPPS program (Tax Installment Payment Plan Service).
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Join local committees, recreation boards, or service groups to get involved.
