BIDS/TENDERS

The RM of Whitehead is located in the heart of southwestern Manitoba. Within three miles of its eastern perimeter lies the city of Brandon; an hour's drive to the South accesses the U.S. border; while the Saskatchewan border is within an hour to the West. Travel North for an hour to reach Riding Mountain National Park. The municipality straddles the Trans Canada Highway, and encompasses several provincial highways and a grid of country roads that lead to nearby towns and villages. The RM offers a variety of appealing lifestyles to its 1500 residents. Agricultural operations feature farms both large and small with newcomers to the area blending with the families who have tended the same property for several generations. Others choose to live in rural residential subdivisions of two- or five-acre lots while several hundred citizens prefer the neighborliness of Whitehead's tiny urban communities - Alexander, Kemnay, and Beresford.
